3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Huyton office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment along with a security deposit is usually required upon picking up the vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is necessary to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed as part of this process. The vehicle should be returned in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged appropriately. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same level of fuel as at pickup; refueling fees will apply if the fuel level is lower. Options for additional insurance may be available to lessen your financial liability. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless covered by additional policies. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, regardless of any insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities or purposes. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or other dangerous maneuvers is prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to unauthorized individuals is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Ensure compliance with passenger and weight limits, and avoid operating the vehicle outside designated geographical boundaries without prior consent.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed under English and Welsh law, Car Hire Huyton will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount paid for your rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
